The Institute of Family Enterprise Advisors (IFEA) was founded with the mandate to provide a global designation and membership structure for professional family enterprise advisors. IFEA is a member-based association committed to the establishment of education and ethical standards as well as specialization and experience requirements for professionals such as lawyers, bankers, accountants, financial planners, insurance agents, wealth advisors, family therapists, facilitators, board directors, etc. for the purposes of membership and professional designation.

As the premier international advisory association enabling advisors to better serve families in business and family enterprises—family businesses, family offices, family philanthropy, and the management of family wealth, we set the standard for advisors to help business families and the leaders of family enterprises effectively manage the important, and often complicated and sensitive family, business, ownership, and financial issues they face.  Working closely with advisors, we help build united, industrious families that create impressive legacies; loyal, capable ownership groups; and high performance, sustainable enterprises.
